Während zwei Wochen war der Künstler Konstantin Voit mit der Malfabrik am Wolkenhof zu Gast.
Im ehemaligen Atelier von Heinrich von Zügel entstand eine grossformatige Schablonenmalerei.
Die Malfabrik wurde 1995 in Hamburg von Konstantin Voit gegründet.
Die Malfabrik produziert Kunst aus Malschablonen, die für Kinder gedacht und frei im Handel erhältlich sind. Diese werden seit ca. 1890 hergestellt und erlebten in den 1970er-Jahren ihre Blütezeit, als damals modernes Spielzeug in Plastikgestalt.
Die Sammlung der Malfabrik umfasst mittlerweile über 10.000 Schablonen aus allen Epochen: von den ersten Pappschablonen aus der Kaiserzeit bis hin zur aktuellen Variante des Schablonenbuchs.
In der Malfabrik dient die Schablone als Filter vor den Ausdrucksformen der abbildbaren Welt. Dem Künstler, der diese Formensprache übernimmt, stellt sich so nicht mehr die Frage "Was bilde ich ab?", sondern "Wie gehe ich mit den vorhandenen Daten um?".
Die Malerei, welche am Wolkenhof entstand, ist Teil der vierteiligen Serie A SHORT STORY OF EVERYTHING (2020 ff.), die durch die Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn im Rahmen von NEUSTART KULTUR gefördert wurde.
In dieser Serie geht es um die Grundbedingungen menschlichen Daseins: Sonne, Erde/Mond, die Entwicklung des Lebens sowie dessen vielfältige Ausgestaltung.
Im Wolkenhof wird die dritte Bildtafel des Zyklus "World" als großformatige Wandmalerei realisiert – eine moderne Adaption des mittelalterlichen Bildes "Die Schöpfung und die Vertreibung aus dem Paradies" von Giovanni di Paolo* aus dem Jahre 1445.

For two weeks, the artist Konstantin Voit was a guest at the Wolkenhof with the Malfabrik.
In the former studio of Heinrich von Zügel a large-format stencil painting was being created.
The Malfabrik was founded in 1995 in Hamburg by Konstantin Voit.
The Malfabrik produces art from painting stencils intended for children and freely available in stores. These have been produced since about 1890 and experienced their heyday in the 1970s as modern toys in plastic form. The collection of the Malfabrik now includes over 10,000 stencils from all eras: from the first cardboard stencils from the imperial era to the current version of the stencil book.
In the Malfabrik, the stencil serves as a filter in front of the expressive forms of the depictable world. The artist who adopts this formal language is no longer confronted with the question "What am I depicting?" but "How do I deal with the existing data?".
The painting, which was created at the Wolkenhof, is part of the four-part series A SHORT STORY OF EVERYTHING (2020 ff.), which was supported by the Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn within the framework of NEUSTART KULTUR.
This series is about the basic conditions of human existence: Sun, Earth/Moon, the development of life as well as its manifold design. In the Wolkenhof, the third panel of the cycle "World" was realized as a large-scale mural - a modern adaptation of the medieval painting "Creation and the Expulsion from Paradise" by Giovanni di Paolo* from 1445.
